I told Laney to get ready for bed.
She gave me her most exasperated look and said, "Again?! We ALWAYS have to go to bed!! We have to go to bed every day!"
Poor kid. Those are the breaks. Life is hard in this house.

- I am a 29-year-old mother of two. Oh, did I say 29? I meant 32. Uh, 35. My kids are Nicky (5) and Laney (3). I'm American. My husband Seven is Norwegian. We live in Norway. I was born in Washington State, graduated from high school and college in Hawaii and lived in several other places in between and after. I've lived in five states, three countries (on three different continents). I speak one language fluently and two others brokenly. Here's a riddle for you: My mother's Japanese, my father's American, my kids are Norwegian, so what does that make me?

That's funny, I just had the same conversation the other day except it was with my husband. "Why do I always have dishes to do? The sink is always full" (That was him)
My comment was "Why do I have to feed you everyday? Why am I always cooking?" LOL
